SISTER DORIS
SAN AGUSTIN, RSM
In July 1996, St. Anthony School welcomed
Sister Doris San Agustin as our principal. Under her leadership
and direction, Sister Doris immediately planned major renovations
in the administration area (providing private offices, a reception
area, faculty room and central air conditioning) and in the
downstairs student restroom area. In addition, a new intercom
system for improving communications was installed. The summer
of 1997 witnessed the renovation of termite infected areas
and fresh coats of paint in the classrooms. The St. Anthony
School gymnasium and theater received a complete refurbishing
of the floor. When Typhoon Paka hit the island in December
of 1997, water and wind damages to the upstairs classroom
ceilings, walls, windows and floors required major construction
repair and replacement of fixtures and more durable aluminum
doors.
St. Anthony School will continue to see
upgrades on its buildings and infrastructure under the leadership,
vision and planning of the current administration. Improved
and comfortable facilities are necessary to promote excellence
in education and a quality learning environment for our students.
At present, St. Anthony School has a population of 567 students.
Our school admits students of any race, religion, and ethnic
origin who, when they attend, are entitled to receive all
rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded
or made available to students of St. Anthony School.
